What I Wish Someone Told Me About Healing

Healing is messy. It’s not a straight line, and it’s not something you can rush. If someone had told me that earlier, I might have been a little gentler with myself. But instead, I spent years feeling like I was behind—like something was wrong with me for not having it all figured out.

Growing up, I struggled with anxiety. I didn’t have the words for it back then, but I felt it in my body every single day. The tightness in my chest, the racing thoughts, the constant fear that I wasn’t enough. I believed healing meant fixing something that was broken in me. But I’ve since learned that healing isn’t about fixing—it’s about understanding, holding space for yourself, and reconnecting with who you are underneath all the noise.

That’s why I created Love, Your Big Sis. Because I know what it’s like to need someone to tell you that you’re not alone. To remind you that healing is possible, even when it feels impossible. Love, Your Big Sis is a space for real talk, practical tools, and reminders that you are worthy of healing—not because you’ve done something to earn it, but simply because you exist.

You might already know me from A New Tomorrow, where I help people through therapy. But Love, Your Big Sis is something different. It’s a space where I get to meet you exactly where you are, whether you’re deep in the work or just taking the first step. It’s not about clinical terms or checklists—it’s about human connection, lived experience, and the kind of support I wish I had when I started my own journey.

Here, you’ll find stories, reflections, and tangible ways to work through life’s challenges. You’ll also find honesty, because I don’t believe in sugarcoating the hard stuff. Healing isn’t always pretty, but it is possible—and you don’t have to do it alone.

So, if you’ve ever felt like you’re too much, not enough, or just plain lost, you’re in the right place. Let’s figure it out together.

Love,

Your Big Sis
